How we met

While both originally from Raleigh, NC, We officially met at American University — we remained friendly on and off through undergrad.

Don’t let Cooper tell you differently, he followed me to Paris. He studied abroad in France for the summer while I coincidentally traveled to Paris for my graduation present.

Cooper here…. I was there first.

I worked at the NIH in the Research Triangle during the pandemic and with Coop just graduating from VMI, we started spending more time together.

We officially started dating over the Fourth of July while at Cooper’s family’s place in Lake Lure which quickly became a special spot for us.

Coop spent time at Fort Benning for his IBOLC training and Ranger School… I don’t recommend three months of no contact but we managed!

The plus side of Coop living in Death Valley, CA for a few years was getting to explore California.

I moved to Denver, CO to purse a medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine — one year to go!

More exploring California with a trip to San Fransisco and Sonoma.

We both learned to snowboard together while living out West and became fiercely competitive (go figure) — now we have a new hobby that takes us to some amazing locations.

Coop’s family initiated me as an LSU fan for my first SEC game this fall.

Cooper is living in Fayetteville, NC continuing his military training. I have one year left in medical school with the hopes of matching into a General Surgery residency program in North Carolina next spring.
